The brief

Propsult Realty serves clients from affordable housing to luxury property and manages a large number of listings. The site was indexed but ranked for little that buyers search, and enquiries came mostly from referrals and portals.

The brief was to bring buyers and tenants from search, to make the listings work harder, and to measure leads rather than visits. The market is highly competitive and the client segments are diverse, so the work had to cover neighbourhoods, developers and property types at once.

“Contentika’s expertise in content marketing and SEO has been pivotal in helping us achieve our business goals.”

How the project ran

When What happened
Month 1
Audit and keyword map: Technical and on-page audit, and a keyword map of neighbourhood, developer, property-type and process terms.
Month 1 to 3
On-page and technical fixes: Titles, structure, speed and duplicate listing pages fixed; analytics and lead tracking set up.
Month 2 to 6
Neighbourhood and developer pages: Landing pages for the areas and developers buyers search, with real detail and current listings.
Month 3 onward
Content and local SEO: Guides for buyers and property descriptions, Google Business Profile and listings, and monthly reporting.

What we built

Two decisions that mattered

Pages for areas, not only for properties

Buyers search Lekki, Ikoyi and Ajah before they search a listing. A real page per area ranks for the area and sends the buyer to the listings in it.

Measure leads, not traffic

Lead tracking was set up in month one, so every page was judged on enquiries. Pages that brought visits and no leads were cut from the calendar.

What is next

The next stage we would recommend is a quarterly market report as a link and lead source, and neighbourhood pages refreshed each quarter with prices.
