With year-over-year growth of 25%, social media advertising revenue crossed $137 billion, surpassing paid search advertising revenue of $135 billion.

Retargeting advertisements are the most popular among advertisers, with 77% of both B2B and B2C marketers reporting using them in their Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns.

The typical Facebook user spends 19.6 hours each month on the social networking site.

TikTok Latest Statistics

Owned by Beijing-based internet startup ByteDance, TikTok is a video-sharing social media channel. After its 2017 debut as an international version of the successful Chinese platform Douyin and the acquisition of in 2018, TikTok gained global popularity.

TikTok, a newbie with an A+ game, was the most downloaded app of 2021. In terms of downloads, it surpassed long-standing social media favorites Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.

In September of 2021, TikTok made the announcement that it has reached 1 billion global monthly active users. This places TikTok as the seventh most popular social media network in terms of the number of users.

More than 60 million people downloaded TikTok in the second quarter of 2022 alone on iPhone and iPad devices, making it the most popular app in the Apple App Store.

There are at least 140.6 million active TikTok users aged 18 and above in the Untied States, making it the country with the most users in the world. Indonesia comes in second with 106.9 million active users aged 18 and above, followed by Brazil with 74 million active users aged 18 and above.

TikTok users in the United States spend an average of 45.8 minutes everyday using the app.
